The main goal of BrushMcCoy.com is to make research easier. The more visual this site is, the easier it will be to navigate. By submitting pictures of your collection; whether large or small, you will be doing your part to make this reference tool more valuable and easier to use, for yourself and others.

What's in it for you?

By submitting at least 10 pictures of post-1940's pottery (a lot of pieces were marked "Brush" in this period), or a minimum of 5 pictures of pre-40's pottery (most were unmarked or marked with shape numbers), you will gain frëë access to the site. That's it! We will also list your name as a contributor on the Acknowledgements / Links Page (if you would like) and we will post a hyperlink to your web site (if you would like), gaining your site more visibility.

How do you submit your pictures?

You can email them to us at submit@brushmccoy.com. Please specify what you are sending in the subject line of your email. Example: (eight pictures attached). The pictures must be a minimum size of 640 by 480 pixels. The subject of each picture must be a pottery shape or glaze that is not already shown on this site. Pictures must be in focus and preferably using a solid background. Each picture should be of an individual piece; not a snapshot of a group of pieces on your shelf. If you don't own a digital camera, your pictures can be mailed in. Just send an email to submit@brushmccoy.com and we will email you the address to send them to. We will make digital copies of your pictures with a scanner and add them in. Other stuff that will gain you frëë access to the site include; submitting articles, ideas, original ephemera, etc.

You must contact us prior to registering

If you'd like to become a member without paying a registration fëë, you can start by sending us an email with a description of what you'd like to submit. We'll review the content of your submittal and will let you know (as soon as possible) if we need what you have. If we can use your material, we'll issue you a coupon code to enter on the Registration Page, which will allow access without paying.

If you have already paid for registration, no problem!

We will gladly refund your registration fëë after we receive your pictures/content.

Some fine print

For legal copyright, the pictures you submit must belong to you (not borrowed from another site or person). Pictures submitted to this site will become the property of this site. We reserve the right to edit, copy, or delete them at our discretion.

Submissions must be related to the J.W. McCoy, Brush-McCoy or Brush Pottery companies. If you are unsure, send it anyway! We may be able to help you figure it out.

We reserve the right to reject submitted materials because of poor quality, redundancy, false ownership, etc.
